Super Talent releases USB 3.0 flash drive

On December 8, 2010, in Gadgets, by admin

Super Talent is a company that that almost exclusively works with storage. Now they have released a USB memory stick that might be interesting for quite a lot of people. The memory stick follows the USB 3.0 standard, which is now slowly rolled out into the PC world. The new memory devices USB 3.0 Express RAM Cache has an interesting feature that allows you to work with programs and files on a virtual desktop directly to memory and not a trace left on the used computer (a bit like old U3 ). With the new speeds of USB 3.0 it will probably be almost as working directly on the computer without any significant loss of performance. The thumbdrives from Super Talent will cost from $80 for a 16GB version to $ 229 for a version with 64GB.

On November 27, 2010, in Retro, by admin

Etzy online store you can find the most imaginative creations. For instance, these beautiful lights of galvanized pipe. In my head like they are almost living creatures. Perhaps I looked a bit too much on the cartoons, or is there anything in it? Anyway, thumbs up for these beautiful lights from the people behind Kozo Lamps.

WiFi Kills Trees?

On November 23, 2010, in Tech, by admin

A recent Dutch study claims that the trees are adversely affected by wireless signals that we use casually for voice and data traffic nowadays. According to the survey 70% of the trees in densely populated areas in the Netherlands suffers from something called the WiFi disease. Five years ago showed only 10% of the trees symptom of WiFi disease. WiFi flu is found on the trees by abnormal growth rates and “bleeding” from the cracks in the bark.

The researchers behind the study points out the need for follow-up studies of trees WiFi disease to enable them to ensure that it is actually Dutch wireless networks that cause damage to trees. Would they come to the conclusion that it was indeed the WiFi behind the damage one might wonder how the signals affect humans? For the moment I’m not particularly concerned.

Something that makes it go a lot faster to search. Still, now they have finally released feature (in a BETA course, in true Google-style) to the iPhone and Android. You need to be on Google.com (in english) and then turn it on.
