Google Instant is now available on your iPhone & Android phone

Less than two months ago, Google introduced its new instant-function in Google searches. Instant does, briefly, so that Google searches turn up while you type in your search phrase. Something that makes it go a lot faster to search. Still, now they have finally released feature (in a BETA course, in true Google-style) to the iPhone and Android. You need to be on Google.com (in english) and then turn it on.

Office 2011 for Mac Prices Revealed

Microsoft has announced the launch of the office suite Office 2011 for Mac. Office package has been given a brand new version of Outlook e-mail program, calendar, and tools that provides an overview of contacts. Office 2011 supports Microsoft Exchange email servers.

Further support Mac edition collaboration tools such as Windows Live SkyDrive, Microsoft Sharepoint and Microsoft Office Web Apps. This means that users of Office 2011 and Office 2010 can edit documents simultaneously.

Office 2011 supports Visual Basic scripting, and thus supports the Mac edition documents with macros and other features. Office 2011 has also been given new tools for image editing and layout.

Office 2011 for Mac will be delivered in three versions (suggested retail price in brackets):

* Home & Student: Word, Excel, Powerpoint. License for up to three computers. ($ 149.99)
* Home & Business: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook. ($ 279.95)

Why the User Interface is Important

First of all, you can’t use a program without a user interface. Unless you want to type code or instructions manually just to do tasks within a program. It’s like driving a car without the steering wheel and dashboard. Using similar interfaces in a series of applications is good for usability and consistency. This makes it easier to switch between, for example, Microsoft Office programs without re-learning the funcitonality.
